DeWayne Davis is a singer, bassist, multi-instrumentalist, and published song writer who has played all over the USA, and in Europe and Japan. DeWayne was immersed in The Austin Blues scene thoughout the 80's and 90's, sometimes playing seven nights a week, with countless artists. He has also fronted his own band, since 1991. DeWayne incorporates Texas musical styles- Blues, Country, Latin Jazz, and Roots rock into his shows, playing original music, and over 300 cover tunes.
DeWayne was born in Ysleta, Texas . He grew up in a musical family. Father, Vernon, played fiddle in " Three Hits and a Miss" a band consisting of fiddle, mandolin, flattop, and a female piano player. DeWayne's Mom, a Cherokee from Oklahoma, also played guitar for fun, at local dances.
